Brett Monroe Garner Marine Biologist Photographer Photography Scripps National Geographic Student Expeditions

Brett Monroe Garner is a marine biologist, conservation photographer, and educator. He earned an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in marine biology and oceanography, and a master’s degree from Scripps Institution of Oceanography in marine biodiversity and conservation.

Brett is an avid traveler and has worked extensively in Asia, Oceania, and throughout the Americas. His work focuses on the interactions between people and the environment. He likes telling the types of stories that encourage people to experience, enjoy, and care for our natural world.
